When walking around Denham Country Park, you may have come across a large pile of stones that are fenced off. In May 2024, these recycled stones were moved from the HS2/National Grid access road and will be used later this year to restructure paths through Denham Country Park, where extensive flooding has reduced access. The reuse of these stones reduces the environmental impact of the works by recycling materials from nearby HS2 projects. Due to the high levels of floodwater in the northern reaches of the park this year, the path works will not be able to start until water levels have dropped. We currently expect this to be in late summer or early autumn.
