Half term activities in the Colne Valley Regional Park
Half term 2019 is not far away and we have some great autumn, low cost and local events. Here are a few ideas to give your children some outdoor, active fun and enjoy the many autumn treats that nature and the Colne Valley Park has to offer.
Monday 21 Oct – Colne Valley Visitor Centre, Denham Country Park
Nature activity and craft event – What do owls eat? Put on your detective cap and investigate what owls eat by dissecting an owl pellet. Please book in advance. For more information click on link below.
Wednesday 23 Oct – at Colne Valley Visitor Centre, Denham Country Park
Autumn crafty fun with Spooky spider dream catchers, as well as Halloween nature trails all week Monday to Friday. Please book in advance. For more information click on link below.
Thursday 24 Oct 2019 – Iver Nature Centre – Autumnal Art Family Fun Day
Be inspired by the changing seasons and create some beautiful pieces of art and includes activities like Natural Art Mosaic and leaf Printing.
Friday 25 Oct 2019 – Autumn walk at Langley Country Park
The park has much to offer including a relaxing lake, beautiful woodland, the awe inspiring arboretum, a fun play park and you can even have a well deserved treat at the wonderful Langley Café.
Tuesday 29 Oct 2019 – Autumn Terrific Tuesday at Chiltern Open Air Museum
Join the Chiltern Open Air Museum for the Terrific Tuesday this half-term. The theme is autumn and they’ve got lots of autumn themed activities and crafts planned all for the standard admission price!
Monday 21 Oct – Friday 1 Nov – Halloween Trail at Denham Country Park
Visit Denham Country Park and pick up a Halloween Trail map at the Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre to help look for the stolen pumpkins. There will be a treat waiting when you return your completed form at the Visitor Centre.
