Woodoaks Farm
Join Rose from the Soil Association for a guided walk around Woodoaks Farm – Discover how farming can work in harmony with nature to reduce its environmental impact.
This event is part of the Big Green Week.
Learn more about how Woodoaks Farm is changing to reduce its impact on the planet, create opportunities for wildlife and allow more people to enjoy organic and seasonal food.
The walk is around one mile in length and takes you on a public footpath around the top of the farm grounds, passing our 16th Century Barn, through Lady Walk wood before returning back around the rolling fields to the Black Barn. The farm has several animals to see, as well as many farmland birds and other wildlife to enjoy.
On the walk, you will learn about the benefits of organic farming and the role of trees and hedgerows in the landscape as well as the role of livestock in the farming system.
Finish the walk with a tea or coffee and amazing cakes at The Tea Shack or some beer-tasting at The Creative Juices Brewing Company. We encourage the group to continue chatting whilst relaxing on the outside seating.
