Woodoaks farm is in Maple Cross, Rickmansworth in the Northern part of The Colne Valley Park and has a short walk amongst farm and woodland, with great views and wildlife to enjoy. The walk is around one mile in length and takes you on a public footpath around the top of the farm grounds. Along the way you will pass Black Barn, which is a 16th Century barn and a precious piece of history. The path leads you through Lady Walk wood and from here you can access further longer walks or return back around the fields to the Black Barn. The farm has several animals to see, as well as many farmland birds and other wildlife to enjoy.

The Woodoaks Tea Shack and The Creative Juices Brewing Company on site are great places to stop for some refreshments with outside seating. Check their websites to see their menus and opening hours or check their Facebook pages for their latest information.
Parking: Parking is available on the main slip roads, on Denham Way or when visiting the Woodoaks Tea Shack or The Creative Juices Brewing Company you can use their car park on site. Covid update: Don’t forget to follow the government guidelines when visiting the side. If it looks busy we advise to return another day.

The lovely people at Woodoaks farm are looking for hedge planting volunteers, could this be you?
Phase III of the Woodoaks Hedge Restoration Project kicks off at the end of November, in which they plan to plant a further 750m of hedges.
They would love it if you could join them, or simply spread the word.
There are 2 hour sessions running 10-12 and 1-3pm each day, except for Saturday which is their community family hedge planting morning, that rounds off with a light lunch for all those that attend.
