Join us at the Harmondsworth Moor Floating Pennywort Pull!
Are you passionate about preserving our local wildlife and protecting native biodiversity? Come on down to Harmondsworth Moor on Tuesday the 21st of May at 10:00 AM and help us remove the invasive Floating pennywort. This plant can cause huge problems, driving local wildlife population declines, increasing flood risk and preventing recreational activities. Removing it is the best way to control infestations and stop the spread of this plant, so please get involved if you can!
This hands-on event is a great way to get involved in environmental conservation efforts while enjoying the outdoors and meeting like-minded individuals. No experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty!
We will be carrying out Floating Pennywort removal from the banks of the River. This will involve using rakes, anchors and our hands to remove floating pennywort from the river. An officer will be on hand at all time to guide you, so no experience is needed just come along and be ready to get stuck in!
