The Colne Valley Regional Park(CVRP) team and the Canal and River Trust are teaming up again for a litter picking and general tidy up session, and this time we will be focusing on cleaning up the Slough Arm.

We will also be teaming up with the Friends of the Colne Valley Park, Friends of the Slough Canal and Hillingdon Litter Pickers.

With this great partnership we are hoping to clear a large section of the Slough Arm.

Please note, the Marina has kindly asked us to car-share where possible. If you can arrive on foot, even better! They will close the car park at 4 PM, so please ensure you leave before then.

On the Grand Union Canal Slough Arm, by the walking bridge that connects the Slough Arm and Packet Boat Waterside & Marina.

The Canal and River Trust is helping us organise this event. They will be bringing a boat along the Slough Arm, as well as all essential tools, biscuits, and hot drinks. Toilet facilities will also be available on the boat.

Booking Instructions

If you would like to take part, please contact Bergey ([email protected]) who is organising, so she will know how many litter pickers to bring.

What to wear and bring:

✅ Sturdy boots, as the ground might be slippery
✅ Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
✅ A waterproof coat, just in case it rains
Lunch – If you plan to join us for the whole session, please bring your own lunch and drink
Gloves and litter pickers will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them
