Bringing the Colne Valley Park indoors…
During lockdown accessing your local countryside and exploring the Colne Valley Regional Park proved to be difficult for some people. Therefore we brought the outdoors indoors, through technology in the comfort of your home. We hope that this gives you the opportunity to join some of our free online workshops and activities, for both adults and children, and that you get to know the Colne Valley Park better.
The Colne Valley has something for everyone
“Colne Valley Nature Explorers” is aimed at our younger followers (although adults can also enjoy these activites), with workshops, activities and learning materials. Many of these are in line with the National Curriculum and we hope they prove to be both useful and fun when learning from home or taking your daily exercise.
Come with us on a digital journey, showcasing the Colne Valley. See the signs of each season in the Valley, learn more about our current challenges and what we offer to enrich your lives and wellbeing. We hope this is an opportunity for many of you to Explore more of the Colne Valley through your technology.
During most of the year 2020 we hosted a series of online workshops which were free of charge for our River Rangers and other volunteers in the Colne Valley. This year we will continue our online workshops for our volunteers, providing you with a variety of workshops, from learning about the ‘Hidden World Of Reptiles to ‘Wonders of Wild Swimming’ . If you are not signed up as a volunteer and interested in joining our team, please get in touch
We are currently running our Landscape Partnership Project funded by the Heritage Lottery and other funders, which is a collection of 19 projects aimed at protecting and enhancing the local countryside and wildlife.
