Leave us a gift in your will

The Colne Valley Park Trust welcomes gifts of any size – large or small – to support the vital work it does in maintaining and enhancing its unique characteristics. The Park is a vibrant, living entity vital to good health and overall well-being: an important environment, rich in wildlife, in which people live, work and play, and one that actively encourages farming and forestry to thrive. The Trust devotes itself to enabling and enhancing these features for all, including future generations.

A gift in your will would enable us to continue the work we do, which is becoming ever more important in the face of growing challenges such as climate change. Examples of our activities include:

  • Organising practical conservation tasks in parks, meadows and wetlands
  • Maintaining woods and wetland for the benefit of people and wildlife.
  • Responding to proposals including HS2, Heathrow etc to ensure that the Park’s voice is heard in relation to developments that may impact it.

To give an idea of what this means on the ground, Colne Valley Regional Park is responsible for:

  • 22 hectares of irreplaceable ancient woodland managed
  • Dozens of  volunteering events a year
  • 20 walk routes, keeping them open and accessible to our communities

Each year thousands of people enjoy what the Colne Valley Regional Park has to offer, many of them from neighbouring towns and cities including Greater London, Slough, and Watford.

If you would like your legacy to help protect and enhance the environment and wildlife of Colne Valley Regional Park, please consider remembering our charity in your will.

Thank you.

With Thanks

We would like to express our thanks to the Nye family for their generous bequest in memory of Mike, who was so passionate about the Colne Valley Regional Park. We will be putting this to good use to protect, enhance and promote the local countryside. Amongst the many things Mike was involved in was the Landscape Camera Project. The Walking in the Footsteps of an Edwardian book is dedicated to him.
