Art and Photography Exhibition
The Colne Valley Park not only provides diverse landscape for wildlife and us to enjoy, it can also provide opportunities for creative outlets. Landscapes from lakes, rivers and canals to woodlands, meadows and farmland offer an abundance of visual wonder to stir the inner artist and photographer.
Art and photography workshops held in September 2019 as part of the Walks Through a Changing Landscape project, supported by the National Lottery Hertiage Fund, provided such opportunities for workshop participants to visit some of Colne Valley Park’s beautiful locations, enabling them to draw upon their own creative spirit.
The Online Art and Photography exhibition is not only a display of some of the lovely work submitted by the participants from their workshop experience it is also a journey through the Colne Valley Park and how their work relates to Stephen Springall’s 1907 book, Country Rambles Round Uxbridge, displaying views he might have seen during his rambles but also showing landscape changes since.
